Conveniently located off the M1 near Chesterfield, England, the Onroute Truckstops Junction 29 site is a thriving hub of activity. The fully automated site provides customers, primarily HGV drivers, with 24/7 ‘pay at pump’ refuelling for diesel, HVO, and AdBlue^® for HGVs. Fully fenced and floodlit, the site provides safe, secure truck parking with 24 hour CCTV surveillance; as well as a service building with welfare facilities, shop, and restaurant.

Recognising the importance of modern and reliable site equipment, Onroute made the decision to upgrade the sites fuel dispensers and outdoor payment terminal to ensure they could continue to meet increased consumer expectations, while facilitating faster and more secure refuelling. With a focus on minimising downtime and ensuring smooth refuelling, Onroute Truckstops installed eight brand-new Tokheim Quantium FS fuel dispensers. The newly installed pumps offer a higher flow rate, guaranteeing fast refuelling even during peak hours. These are coupled with four Crypto VGA outdoor payment terminals allowing drivers to securely ‘pay at pump’ via a wide range of UK and European fuel cards or by bank card, 24/7/365.

OnRoute also installed the Tokheim Fuel Homebase management solution, and DX Retail for enhanced back office and reporting to provide Junction 29 management with even greater site visibility.

Several factors were considered when selecting the new solutions for the station. The Quantium FS fuel dispensers were chosen for their proven minimal drift and low TCO, while Crypto VGA OPTs were chosen to ensure the site could accept both UK and EU fuel cards, and DX Retail was selected to support site reporting. All these features ensure the OnRoute Junction 29 site can continue to cater to a wide customer base.
