With over 5% of new car sales in the U.S. now electric vehicles, we’ve passed a critical point in adoption. Based on a Bloomberg analysis of 19 countries with EV-positive trends, this figure represents a tipping point. For Gen Zers and millennials, DFS’ findings suggest that the availability of more EV-charging stations may be a key incentive to purchasing an EV in the coming years. Broader adoption over the next few years means gas station and convenience store owners must prepare now.
