Wayne Fueling Systems LLC, on behalf of itself and its affiliates, within the Dover Fueling Solutions family of companies (collectively, “DFS”) respects your individual privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share personal data we obtain from users of our products and services, including those at the https://dovercorporation.com and https://www.doverfuelingsolutions.com/ websites, and related websites, mobile software applications, and other offerings, as well as DFS’ fuel and fluid dispensers, and payment and metering systems contained in such dispensers (collectively, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy applies when you use the Services or interact with DFS. By choosing to use the Services or otherwise providing DFS personal data, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Services.

(ii) for internal record keeping;

(iii) for internal analysis to see how many unique visitors visit the Services;

(iv) to administer promotions, services (e.g., registration for webcasts, etc.) and offers for which you register;

(v) to send you marketing communications and for other marketing-related purposes, subject to the Marketing provisions below;

(vi) to improve the products and services offered through the Services; and

(vii) to measure the number of visitors to the Services and the areas of the Services that are of most interest to visitors, and to customize the Services.

We do not use the personal data that you provide through the Services to make automated decisions about you. You always have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us using the details below.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, including laws outside your country of residence, DFS may also use your personal data as we believe to be necessary or appropriate:

(iv) to protect our operations or those of any of our affiliates;

We do not intend to collect any sensitive personal data (which is defined under EU law to include, for example, personal data on ethnicity, racial origin and health) through the Services.

Marketing

Where required by local law, we will obtain your prior consent:

(i) in order to send you marketing communications about DFS;

(ii) in order to provide your personal data to DFS affiliates for their marketing purposes; and

(iii) in order to provide your personal data to third parties and other partners for joint marketing efforts or their own marketing efforts.

We may share your personal data with our affiliates, partners, contractors, agents, and third party service providers (including contractors who provide services to us) to provide the Services or assist with any of the uses of personal data described above. DFS limits such third parties’ use of personal data to be consistent with this Privacy Policy and other appropriate confidentiality and security measures, and prohibits such third parties from sharing or using the personal data for any other purpose.

We may also disclose your personal data to third parties if disclosure is required to comply with applicable laws or regulations; comply with a legal obligation, process or court order; to respond to requests from public and government authorities; or if disclosure is necessary to enforce our Privacy Policy and/or Terms of Service; to protect your safety or security; to protect our rights, the safety and security of our site and property or that of DFS Affiliates or third parties; or to allow us to pursue available remedies or limit the damages we may sustain.

We may share or transfer your personal data to a third party if DFS enters into, or is involved in, a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of some or all of its assets.

Personal Information You Post in Public Areas

When you post a message in a DFS forum, or chat room, or provide a review or customer feedback to DFS, the information you post may be accessible to other users of the Services and the public. If you post personal data anywhere on the Services that is accessible to other users or the public, you are advised that such personal data can be read, collected, used, or disseminated by others and could be used to send you unsolicited information or for other purposes. Accordingly, you assume full responsibility for posting such data and agree that DFS is not responsible in any way for personal data you choose to post in such public areas.

Aggregated Information

DFS may publish, share, distribute, or disclose personal data that has been aggregated with information from other users or otherwise de-identified in a manner that does not allow such data about you to be separated from the aggregate data and identified as originating from you, to third parties, including DFS partners, sponsors, and advertisers. Such information may help DFS identify and analyze training, demographic, and psychographic trends and information, and report to third parties how many people saw, visited, or clicked on certain content, areas of the Services, ads, or other materials.

 

5. SECURITY AND STORAGE

We are committed to keeping your personal data secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable technical and organizational measures to safeguard and secure the personal data we collect online from loss, theft, and unauthorized access, use, disclosure, or modification. For example:

  • we transmit data over secured communication channels using SSL Login credentials;

  • all personal information is stored by trusted third party providers (e.g., AWS);

  • all systems used to provide the Services are password protected with secure authentication services (e.g., Okta and SailPoint SSO); and

  • all Services usage is restricted on a per-user basis on the principle of least privilege.

Personal data collected by DFS may be stored and processed in your region, in the United States, and in any other country where DFS, its affiliates, or service providers operate facilities. 

How Long Will We Hold Your Personal Data

We will retain your personal data for as long as:

(i) we have a relationship with you;

(ii) we are required by law; or

(iii) we need to in order to protect ourselves as a business or protect any other third party.

DFS may further retain your data for a commercially reasonable time thereafter for backup, archival, fraud prevention, or detection or audit purposes. 6. RIGHTS TO YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Under certain laws, you have the right to seek access to your personal data, seek rectification or erasure of your personal data, restrict our use of your personal data, object to our use or request data portability. Please contact us if you wish to exercise any of these rights.

(i) have previously not objected to us using your personal data for our direct marketing purposes, but now wish to opt-out of receiving future marketing emails from us;

(ii) want to opt-out of any new uses of personal data permitted by this Privacy Policy caused by changes in our information practices;

(iii) do not want us to share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes;

(iv) believe that personal data we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete so that we can consider your concern; or

(v) do not want to be contacted by us in the future (unless you initiate the contact).

Any such requests are subject to the protection of other individuals’ rights and applicable law. We may update this Privacy Policy by posting a new version on our website. If we update this Privacy Policy in a way that significantly changes how we use your personal data, we will bring these changes to your attention where reasonably possible.
